Drifter is a super nice, well trained AQHA, 4 year old, 15.1 hand Red Roan gilding that has foundation bloodlines. This is a very gentle and kind horse that has good training. He is handy yet quiet. Easy one hand, neck rein, good turnarounds, a nice, comfortable jog, and lopes out on cue. Takes his leads, good stop, backs up well and side passes with ease to open and close the gates.Drifter has been rode by children as well as novice adults and he takes good care of his mount. Crosses our very technical rocky river, small, creeks, trail, bridges, etc. will lead, follow, ride quietly in a group or out on his own. He is sure footed and dependable in steep rocky terrain. Drifter is equally as good to ride around our neighborhood He is settled and unconcerned with all that encounter from fast passing vehicles to farm animals and the neighborhood dogs. He has been used on the ranch for all of the ranch horse chores and has been lightly started in both heading and heeling in the arena. This is a great horse with a bright future. He’s always gentle and is an absolute pleasure to ride and be around. Drifter is a friendly horse that loves people and attention. Gets along well turned out as well as in a box stall or a pen by himself. He has an old injury under his left cheek that is purely cosmetic. 100% sound, safe and gentle and would be suitable for most levels of riders. He has no bad habits or vices and is good about everything. This is the good kind!
