AQHA 5 year old, 15.2 hand attractive bay mare. Melody is an exceptionally good-natured and well trained horse. She is well bred with that Zippo Pine Bars breeding that we love. Professionally trained in western pleasure and is NSBA breeder’s futurity eligible. This horse is extremely gentle and is beginner friendly to ride in or outside of the arena. Every aspect of her training has been correctly done and she is ready to move ahead in the show arena or just ride her on the trails and enjoy the scenery. In the ring, Melody has a nice low and correct headset, has a beautiful slow jog and lopes out on cue always taking the correct lead. Stops, backs up and side passes with ease as well. We have ridden her all around our busy neighborhood streets as well as out on our steep mountain trails. She is solid to ride out anywhere. Around the neighborhood she is calm and quiet about all the things we come across like fast passing vehicles, Barking dogs, farm animals and such as well as everything else we’ve encountered in our urban environment. When heading out to the trails, she loads and hauls great. She will lead or follow, goes out alone or will ride quietly in a larger group. Crosses the river, puddles, downed timber and navigates our steep rocky terrain with confidence and ease. Melody is a get along kind of gal. She does great turned out in the pasture with the other geldings and mares. She is also fine in a box stall or outdoor runs as well. This is an outstanding horse in every way. She is always gentle and stays that way with time off. Good to tie, shoe, tack, etc. Melanie has no bad habits or vices and is 100% safe sane and sound.
