If you are looking for a gentle, quiet minded solid draft cross you have just found him. Astro is thick made, sure footed and gentle. He stands 15.3 hands. This good natured gelding is built to last with good bone and big feet. He is user friendly to ride and be around and we have put beginners on him and he is always a saint. Astro stands quietly to groom and tack up and stands quiet to mount and will pick you up off the fence or the mounting block. He has a good neck rein, takes both his leads and stops like a dead end street! Astro is an outstanding trail horse and will ride quietly in the front, middle or ride drag. He has a nice brisk walk and will go out in larger groups or go out alone. He navigates our steep rocky terrain like a seasoned trail horse should and is an absolute pleasure to ride and be around. He goes anywhere we ask with no fuss. Crosses tarps, downed timber, carries the flag, rides bareback and is not afraid of the mountain bikers or the farm animals around the corner from us or the barking charging dogs and fast moving traffic. He stays gentle with time off and is a kind horse that gets along well with the other horses. Stands quiet for the farrier and is good to bath and load. 100% safe sane and sound. Sold!
